ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT MONITORING AND TERRITORY
Environmental Impact Monitoring and Territory born as flexible group of multidisciplinary work, promoted from the Multidisciplinary Institute for the Study of the East "Ramon Margalef (IMEM) , University of Alicante, which integrates faculty and researchers in the University with interest and expertise in the various topics related to environmental impact.
Its work involves the documentation and information gathering of the problems of human environmental impact over the territory, ecosystems and landscapes, especially in the area of the province of Alicante, and the related analysis and diagnosis, as well as presenting management proposals or action in this field. It will promote a better understanding of these issues by the general public. To this end it is proposed as a vehicle of transmission and dialogue between the academic and technical, government, socio-economic actors and the general public.
Specifically, will address issues such as:
· Diagnoses of the impact of human activities on the environment.
· The real effectiveness of the EIA procedures as a preventive tool. Case Studies.
· Guidelines and tools for planning and protection and management of landscape.
· Diagnosis of knowledge and involvement of citizens in the problem environment of our local environment.
· Effectiveness analysis of strategies for dissemination of knowledge environment among the younger generation.
-Held working sessions with intervals preferably monthly, in which an analysis of today, issues specific to the documentation and reports, and analysis topics are proposed. It is the responsibility of the coordinators submit in advance the information dossiers required for meetings.
-Regardless, may hold special meetings to address specific topics of interest proposed by its members.
-There may be specific committees to address specific topics of interest or currency.
-For any of its meetings may invite external experts or representatives of management agencies or social organizations related to your topics of interest.
-It writes an annual report, which publicises.
-It can make specific reports on some aspect of social relevance and timeliness.
-Establish contacts and partnerships with related entities.
-Try a presence in the media, within an image objectivity, impartiality and technical precision.
-Promotes dissemination activities: courses, lectures, exhibitions. addressed to the general public and students.
-Try, according to public or private publishers, make publications in their field of interest.
