JANE GOODALL PRIZE FOR CONSERVATION BIOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ETHICS 2010
The University of Alicante has developed, in partnership with the Jane Goodall Institute Spain, the Jane Goodall Chair, which has among its objectives the analysis, research, training and outreach in environmental conservation, including local and human societies protagonists of the process. To contribute to these objectives, both institutions have decided to create the Jane Goodall Award for Conservation Biology and Environmental Ethics, concepts that are closely linked and where the famous primatologist, is an international reference.
This award is to recognize the work of individuals or institutions that have made significant contributions to environmental conservation and sustainable development anywhere in the world, which in turn help the development of environmental ethics in society.
